About menopause mom

I am a 51 year old mother.  I have an adopted son that is now 8 yrs old.  My husband and I have been married since I was 19.  We adopted our son when he was 2.  That was quite a surprise.  Look for upcoming blogs on how that came about.  We spent 10 years with infertility problems.  Two miscarriages, lots of painful shots and medicines and procedures, and we finally got pregnant.  We lost our little girl Anna in the 6 month.  They called it fetal demise.  I just say, my daughter died before she was born.  Again, another story for another time.  I teach school in an inner city school.  I have 2 teaching licenses.  I can teach in a self-contained elementary classroom and can also teach general music.  I am currently doing the music gig, and most days, I love it.  Have I got some stories to share!  I just wanted an outlet for all these things I’m dealing with at this time in my life.  School, parenting, adoption, menopause, hormones, anti-depressants, and the current bandaid, Xanex.  Did I mention trying to maintain a relationship with my husband?  Top on the list, is just trying to stay out of what they call the “Stress Center”.  Just a cute name for the luney tunes rubber rooms!

    Hi there –
You would know me as Lighthousegal. I have changed my moniker and have started a new blog. Below is the address and a description of what my blog is all about.

I have started a new blog about my journey to clear the clutter from my life in order to recognize the unexpected gifts that can be found during the mundane moments of my day. I enjoy your site and have found information that has helped me on my journey. I have put a link to your site on my blog, hoping that others can gain as much from your writing as I have. If you have a moment, I hope you can visit my new little internet home.
